The Slopak Celje Open is part of the official Tennis Europe Junior Tour calendar and ranks among the international youth tournaments in the region for the under-14 age category. In this year’s edition, held from 2 to 8 June 2025, the Tennis Club Celje welcomed young tennis players from across Europe and beyond.
More than 80 young players from 13 countries took part in the tournament: 🇸🇮 Slovenia, 🇭🇺 Hungary, 🇳🇱 Netherlands, 🇵🇱 Poland, 🇦🇹 Austria, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇷🇸 Serbia, 🇸🇰 Slovakia, 🇦🇺 Australia, 🇷🇴 Romania, 🇫🇷 France, 🇺🇦 Ukraine and 🇨🇳 China.
The matches were played on the courts located in Mestni park Celje, where players delivered outstanding performances in a welcoming and sporting atmosphere.
Beyond competition, the tournament also serves as a great opportunity for young players from different countries to connect, grow, and gain valuable international experience – both on and off the court.
Final Results
- 🎾 Boys: Jaka Brolih (SLO) claimed the title with a comeback victory over top seed Marko Jony (HUN), 2:6, 6:1, 6:1.
- 🎾 Girls: Top seed Ilaria Morozin (CRO) won convincingly in the final, defeating Slovenian representative and 8th seed Liza Butina Jazbec 6:0, 6:1.
